After the dizzying images of the blurred archive footage of World War Two, the artist and filmmaker, Jean-Gabriel Periot, takes us to the triumphant, victory marches in France; he shows us the happy expressions of celebration, which turn abruptly, into scenes of women, who, to the tune of La Marseillaise, have their heads shaved in the town square, as a sign of shame for their affairs with German soldiers.
The director masterfully changes the context of the shots, also changing our relation to them.
