Should society encourage "special needs" couples to bring children into the world? This film follows a mentally/physically challenged couple, Laszlo and Kata, over seven years.
After they married, Kata became pregnant and gave birth to Laci, an enchanting child with an IQ of 138; he lives in a loving, but not mentally nurturing, environment. His parents need a lot of guidance in even the most simple tasks, and support from the local authorities and from family.
The problems the boy has to deal with, raise a whole range of questions related to children''s rights and parental rights.
