She is close to 60 with red hair, a pretty, slightly made up face, and has well groomed hands. Maria''s look couldn''t be more outstanding over the background of the small village in which she lives with geese, a cow and two dogs. She is also the owner of a rusty and old petrol station -miles away from her soft urban image.
She has a pensive look in her eyes, full of sorrow and longing for a past that we are allowed to catch a glimpse of, through her fan mail and short clips of home movies.

EVEN IF SHE HAD BEEN CRIMINAL
After the dizzying images of the blurred archive footage of World War Two, the artist and filmmaker, Jean-Gabriel Periot, takes us to the triumphant, victory marches in France; he shows us the happy expressions of celebration, which turn abruptly, into scenes of women, who, to the tune of La Marseillaise, have their heads shaved in the town square, as a sign of shame for their affairs with German soldiers.
The director masterfully changes the context of the shots, also changing our relation to them.

The director, Oscar Perez, is about to enter the alcove of Muhammad – a lazy, cheating and short tempered Pakistani tailor, in the poor district of Barcelona – to begin filming. He films the customers complaining about the poor treatment they receive. He films the assistant, an Indian without a residency permit, who unsuccessfully tries to please him. He films the alcove, bursting at the brim from the recent rains that cover the filthy floor and also from the plastic bags containing clothes for alteration.
