Ever since she was a student, director Neasa Ni Chianian was captivated and influenced by the celebrated Irish poet Cathal O Searcaigh; his poetry spoke of the suffering of lost love and loneliness. When she learned that he used to spend his winters in Nepal, contributing his energy and money on the advancement of impoverished youngsters, buying them books, bicycles, and caring for their needs; she decided to make a film about it.
Between the gloomy landscapes of Ireland and the colorful ones of Katmandu, she accompanies him and is impressed by his concern for the boys and the affectionate relationships he has nurtured with them.
But all is not what it seems and, despite her doubts, she begins to understand the nature of the concern the acclaimed poet has for the boys.
