A Documentary about the execution of The Disengagement Plan and the evacuation of 8,000 settlers from their homes at the settlements in the Gaza strip which began on August 15 th , 2005, lasting only 5 days. Eight camera crews followed closely for five full days the key figures, providing us with unique and exceptional access to the heart of the action. General Dan Harel, revealing the secret of how he planned the move so it would last several days and produce no casualties, instead of the preplanned 3 weeks. The persistent battle of the settlers operations officer Rafi Ben-Basat, who has single handed initiate and directed the mobilization and transportation of thousands of supporters from outside Gush Katif; and Noam Shapira who instructs the members of his family and of the community settlement “Shirat Hayam” how to prevent their “deportation”. Director, Yoav Shamir reveals how a situation predicted to explode was resolved without violence. What emerges from Shamir''s cameras is a touching mosaic of an Israeli society confronting a unique and historic moment.
